So I'd been sitting here in a bit of a Anderson Brother's withdrawal of sorts after finishing the final book in the series, Chance of a Lifetime, the other week. I was both bummed because it was over and also beyond delighted that Marissa Clarke ended the series with such a bang. Yet I still wanted more. So as I was, quite literally, swiping through the titles on my Kindle rather quickly and with a rather ho-hum state of mind, all of a sudden Sleeping with the Boss jumped out at me! It was quite a forehead smacking moment because all I could think was "you complete dolt, you bought that months ago and never read it!" Of course then I had a moment where I did a little jig in my chair because...I HAD ONE MORE MOMENT WITH THE ANDERSON BOYS!

Sigh.

I always seem to fall hardest for books or series where you have a family or a group of friends that have really fun dynamics, and this series definitely falls into that category. I feel like not every author can quite do a good enough job separating the personalities in their characters and making them unique from each other. One of the things that makes these Anderson boys so lovable is how different they are from one another. Michael, book two, is the oldest. He's all business, suit and tie, very rigid, schedule everything and everything is precisely in it's place and neat and orderly. Then you have William, this book, in the middle. Will is more of the laid back type. He is serious and analytical in a sense, but also very playful and charming. He's really good with people and knows how to read them. He's a good problem solver which makes him perfect for his security gig. Then there's Chance, book three, the baby. He's definitely the wild one out of the bunch. He's the thrill seeker type, real adrenaline junkie, but he's also incredibly sweet and kind of perfect.

The three of them could not be more different from one another and yet they have this beautiful bond and are really good at leveling each other out. It's beyond hilarious watching them push each other's buttons and tease and get on each other's cases in a loving and good natured sort of way. But they also look out for one another and have each other's backs and have this amazing blind faith in each other's word. They're a very heartwarming bunch.

And the women they all lose their hearts too are just as great as the guys are! I freaking adored Claire to pieces! She's one of those characters where, if there's the slightest possibility that something could go wrong, when Claire is involved it most definitely will go wrong! That girl had me cracking up so much with all the bumbles and moments that probably would've had me horrified and locking myself in my room for the rest of my life with embarrassment if they were to happen to me. But Claire is just kinda shrugs it off and rolls with the punches. She was such an interesting and extremely fun character.

I will say that even though I did have the whole company spy thing figured out instantly, it didn't take away a single bit of enjoyment in the slightest. I still really enjoyed the storyline.

Oh swooniest of swoons, the romance! Will and Claire have this instant heat that was just so delicious. They easily fall into adorable bouts of banter that would leave me grinning ear to ear...and also in desperate need of some cooling off! They were the perfect blend of steamy and sweet.

The bottom line is, if you love funny, witty and sweet contemporary romances filled with the types off characters you wish you could pull out of the book and hang out with in real life, you absolutely need to give this series a try. Each one you read ends up being better than the last. They're quick and easy reads that were impossible for me to put down! I'm looking forward to see what Marissa Clarke has coming in the future because this series has added her to my list of authors I will buy and read anything from!

My heart is so full right now. I fell in love with this series and the Anderson brothers from the moment I first picked up Michael's book. They are the perfect blend of humor and romance, with a brilliant set of characters that leaves you constantly wanting more of them. Chance of a Lifetime was the perfect end to this series and I'm so sad to see it be over. About halfway through it really hit me that this is it and all I could think was how in a perfect world Chance and Gen, hell the entire Anderson clan and their women need to be in all the books I read in the future. That is how much I adore them.

For lack of a better phrase, I like to go into a series blind. I don't like to know the details or read the blurbs so everything is fresh and a surprise and I have zero expectations. Gen was the most pleasant surprise all. I don't think I've ever read a book with a blind main character before, at least not that I can recall. Marissa Clarke did a fabulous job at putting you in her shoes. You experience things differently through her point of view and it comes across perfectly and beautifully. Plus it's not hard to sympathize with someone who is strong and capable and only has one small obstacle with her day to day life, she can't see, yet her family treats her as if her lack of sight has impacted her mental capacity. It was easy to feel angry for her and cheer her on as she would take control of her life.

Seeing this amazing character as she blossoms and experiences new things brought on a whole new level of emotional for me. I would find myself tearing up at things we find so simple but are a wonder to Gen. And I loved her curiosity and I would always grin whenever her most used phrase would pop up, "What do you see?" I just adored her.

And I loved how Chance supports her and empowers her. He is such a good guy. He's definitely become my favorite Anderson brother. He treated her like a human and he cherished her. Like I wish I could sit here and gush about all the freaking amazing things that Chance does that concern Gen but...you know...spoilers. Trust me when I say you will lose your heart totally and completely over this guy.

"Nobody needs to lead you two to each other. You'd find each other from opposite sides of the planet."

And the connection and sparks between these two. Oh my freaking word! There was this magnetic, tangible heat between Chance and Gen. Honestly I can say that they shared the most intense first kiss that I have ever read or probably ever will read. Maybe because you experience it with all your other senses, Marissa Clarke has a way with vividly tickling your other senses in this book that's for sure. Just thinking about it makes me want to go read it all over again.

As if you couldn't already tell...I am so far beyond head over heels for this book. It was all just so perfect. Does it really have to be over? Are we sure there aren't any Anderson boys hidden away anywhere? No? Sigh....

Holy cuteness! I absolutely adored this book. It was funny, sweet, filled with sexual tension and I couldn't put it down for a second!

I'm pretty much kicking myself after finishing this one. I remember when the first book in this series came out and I was just sort of meh about it and decided to pass it by. But after finishing Neighbors with Benefits and meeting all three of the Anderson brothers I've realized that I really need to rethink that whole meh attitude. I love the dynamic between the brothers and how each one is so vastly different and yet there's this bond and closeness and they compliment each other well. It's made me really want to go back and read Will's story, which I plan to do ASAP.

I think what made this book so much fun to read was just how deeply polar opposites Michael and Mia were. Michael is very powerful and driven, he's a neat freak and almost OCD in his organization of everything in his life. We're talking to the point where even the pencils and things on his desk he straightens obsessively with symmetry and parallel lines. He's very controlled in every aspect of his life and lives by a very rigid routine. You would think someone like him would be hard to like but it was quite the opposite. It was instant and very easy to like this guy.

Mia is basically everything Michael is not. She's like this artistic, free spirit. She has a tendency to be forgetful and where Michael is neat and organized she is more chaotic and a bit of a mess, but definitely an endearing mess.

It was entertaining watching the chaotic storm that was Mia and Clancy (the Shih Tzu) crash into his perfectly manicured life and home and to see Michael try to cope and adjust to things being out of his control. And on the other hand how the steady and structured influence of Michael brought about changes in Mia as well. The thing with these two characters is they were both great and extremely likable from the very beginning, but the more they got to know each other and influenced each other's lives the great turns to pretty perfect and the likable becomes more like lovable. Separate they were fine but together they were better. I loved it and them.

Overall I had so much fun reading this book. It was a sweet and laugh out loud funny, quick and easy type of read. And now I'm going to rush over to Amazon and pick up the first book so I can devour that one as well!
