Friends...with benefits?

For Sadie Nixon, life is one big adventure with something new around the corner. And anytime she needs a break, she can always rely on James Montesano--the best guy she knows. This time when she arrives in Shady Grove, however, something is different. There's a little extra between her and James that has them crossing the line of friendship into one steamy, no-holds-barred night.

Afterward, no matter how hard she tries, Sadie can't erase the memories of James that way. He's so hot, so tempting.... But his life is here and hers isn't. She needs his friendship, but she doesn't do commitment. So where does that leave them? Suddenly what happens between friends is more complicated than ever!

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and Harlequin in exchange for an honest review.

I actually got this one off NetGalley last year sometime, but life happened and the review never got written. So I figured I'd quickly skim through the book for a bit of a refresher, I seemed to find myself actually rereading it for the most part anyway because it started sucking me back in. You're probably thinking, "Brilliant! Another good one!" And while in a lot of ways it is good, I'm also starting to remember just how much this book pisses...me...off...

People didn't get mad at her. They didn't dislike her. She was Sadie Nixon, for God's sake. A ray of freaking sunshine.

This book is told from 3 different POVs, and out of those 3, only 1 of them was likable. Sadie and her sister Charlotte are 2 out of the 3 and they were both such complete nut jobs it was hard to decide who was worse. First there's Sadie. She's selfish, judgmental and she has this air of arrogance about her that was so annoying. She treated everyone in her life, friends and family alike, like complete crap. And she was usually completely oblivious and shocked when people finally stopped allowing her to mooch and walk all over them and told her enough is enough. She's so used to people doing everything for her and getting things her way that she comes to expect it and almost feels entitled. Needless to say, I did not like her much.

So she'd stretched the truth a bit. All was fair in love and war.

Now, as much as I didn't like Sadie, I think I disliked Charlotte just a wee bit more. If you want lessons on how to be a fake person read this book and study Charlotte and basically do everything she does. She, quite literally, has her entire future planned out. Down to the man she's going to marry (but he doesn't know it yet..), the ring he'll use to propose, how long the engagement will last, how many kids they will have, etc. All she needs for her plans to happen is for James to go ahead and realize she's not just a kid anymore and fall in love with her. She goes about trying to change his mind about her in a very manipulative way, in my opinion. Like, if she didn't like something she would pretend to like it in front of him hoping he'll be like 'wow we have so much in common!' Or she'd get him talking about his work, he's a carpenter, and once she'd get him going about a project he was working on, she'd zone him out because she could care less. I can't stand fake people, therefore my feelings about her never wavered. She's a whack-a-doodle.

"I've been in love with you for most of my life, and it's not going away. It may never go away, but that doesn't mean I have to torture myself by being your friend. It's not enough for me. Not any more. And it's not fair of you to ask me to pretend it is."

I seriously love James and most of the Montesano family. They were all so funny. Like laugh out loud funny. I think that's the biggest reason that I disliked the Nixon sisters so much. James was this genuinely super sweet guy and he didn't deserve any of the head games from those 2. I think James and his family, especially his brother Leo, are really what saved me from giving up on this book completely. They actually made the whole thing worth reading.

It's funny because by the time I get to the end I nearly forget all that frustration. I actually did the first read through. Before I started skimming through I'd been thinking that I remembered being happy with the end. This time around though I remembered to take better notes and such. I didn't hate it. I just feel like things would have been a whole lot easier if half of the characters central to the storyline weren't so freaking horrible. To want to see a happy ending with the people involved you have to like them even if it's just a couple of redeeming qualities you see here and there. I think if Leo gets his own book, I just might give this author another chance to win me over. If not, well I think I'll stick with just this one and call it a day.

I really fought myself with how I wanted to rate this, but I felt like all the good parts outweighed the bad and there were plenty of them. So giving it less than a 3 just didn't make sense to me.

REVIEW: Dirty Trick (Perfectly Matched #1) by Christine Bell

Title/Series: Dirty Trick | Perfectly Matched #1
Author: Christine Bell
Publisher: Entangled Brazen
Published: September 23, 2013
Genre: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Format: eBook | Pages: 250
Source: Amazon
★★★★ (4/5) Stars!

Christine Bell | Twitter | Facebook | Goodreads

A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

This matchmaker's about to meet her match...

Grace Love is lousy with men. She can spot a match for someone else a mile away, and her balls-on instincts are why her matchmaking business is thriving, but finding her own Prince Charming? The only guy who makes her sixth sense tingle is her playboy best friend, Trick, and no way is she risking their friendship, no matter how hot she knows the sex will be.

SWAT officer Trick Mathews is a patient guy, but Grace’s inability to see what’s right in front of her is grinding on his last nerve. Yeah, he blew his shot at breaking out of the friend zone when he tamped down the urge to lick her from head to toe the day they met, but he’s got a plan that’ll change her mind. Incognito at Salem's hottest Halloween party, he’ll show her exactly how good they could be…and that he’s the man for her.

I'm always a sucker for a good Entangled book, especially from their Brazen line. Thankfully Dirty Trick did not disappoint. It's told in the dual POVs of Grace and Trick and is one of my favorite, favorite, favorite types of love stories, the friends to lovers that always make me swoon the hardest. Grace and Trick are extremely close on top of being neighbors. He, all too late, realizes that the feelings he's having mean 'she's the one'. But Grace has already written him off as a player due to the steady stream of girls he brought home the first few months after she moved into the neighborhood. So being a man in love, he does whatever it takes to change her mind about him.

She'd had more than her fair share of bad relationships, and her ex-fiance hadn't just broken her heart. He'd obliterated it.

I really liked Grace. She has a lot of baggage due to a real winner of an ex who really did a number on her head. Needless to say, understandably, Grace has quite a few trust issues. But it's in a very endearing sort of way, one that makes her just that much more likable. I also feel like it gives her a very relatable vibe. It was fun to see the changes in her as her confidence built and she went from timid and questioning  herself constantly to putting herself out there and taking risks.

"Nope. Not my real voice. I was going for sexy and mysterious. Is it working?"

Trick Mathews. Wow. I have two words for you. Swat. Officer. Take a moment to go wipe the drool from your chin. I know I had to! Don't get me wrong, as you read in the description he pulls a pretty sneaky move to try to get himself out of the friend zone and I do realize that. But really what he does is with the best of intentions and it was never to hurt Grace. He's just this incredibly sexy, super sweet guy who'd do anything to get the girl he loves. I am smitten!

"What do you mean by special? Derek has a nine-inch--"
"I'm pretty sure I don't want to hear the rest of that sentence."

I love when books have a very bold and outspoken best friend who speaks her mind no matter who she's talking to. Serena fits that role with perfection. She's very flirtatious and funny. Of course I'd probably die a million times over if I had a friend as bold as her in real life.

He stared at her with a puzzled but patient smile. "I want your cock...a doodly doo....in-inside my p--lady area...business," she expelled in a rush.

There were plenty of giggle worthy moments as well as you can see. Aside from a couple of references and lines that were just odd or felt like they were trying too hard here and there (and honestly there weren't that many), I feel like this was a very well rounded book. Funny, sad, sexy as all hell, even a little bit of angst. I had a really hard time putting it down and it kept me sucked in to the very last sentence just dying for these two to make it work.

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking The Spine where we share with everyone upcoming new releases that we're eager to get our hands on! :)

Opposition (Lux #5)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Expected Publication: August 5th 2014

Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.

She can't believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.

Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.

They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.

War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.

August 5th cannot come any sooner for me!! I'm so anxious. The end of Opal (Lux #3) left me shattered. I swear I sat there staring at the last page for an hour thinking "Are you kidding?" "Did some of my pages fall out at the end?" "No, seriously...that's it?!" But...with quite a few more curse words thrown in here and there. The book hangover I had after finishing it was enough to make me decide to hold off on finishing the series until all 5 books were out. I haven't even read the blurbs on Origin or Opposition because I don't want to know anything. It's killing me. If you've read them then you know where Daemon is currently in my mind. Sigh. COME THE HELL ON AUGUST. I miss my smexy alien!

So what are you excited for this week?? Leave a link to your post and let me know! :)

REVIEW: Thoughtless (Thoughtless #1) by S.C. Stephens

Title/Series: Thoughtless | Thoughtless #1

Kellan's Facebook ;)

For almost two years now, Kiera's boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she's ever wanted: loving, tender and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together, Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university, everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart.

Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source—a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he's purely a friend that she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes...and none of them will ever be the same.

This book should have a warning label. "Warning: May be hazardous to your health and sanity!" I'm putting a warning label on this review...may include bouts of cursing and rambling nonsense. We'll see how it goes I guess.

 photo Speechless01_zpss9otebwa.gif

I want nothing more, than for the ground to open up and swallow Kiera Allen to the deepest, darkest, most fiery depths of hell for all eternity.

I don't know how better to sum up my thoughts upon completion of this book except for that sentence.

With the loss of being able to blog every day, my reading habits have been vastly different from my "normal" lately. I've been taking advantage of this sort of freedom and was reading a LOT of epic fantasy and historical romance. Such a weird combo I know. But I've also missed my angsty contemporary NA/YA. The other night as I walked over to my bookshelves to turn off the light switch right next to them, Thoughtless jumped out at me. I bought the series so long ago but they've just been sitting there because....well...I was scared. See on just about every blog I visited, every review I read about this series, the consensus was strong about 2 specific points.

First: Kellan Kyle was a rock god
Wait did that say rock god?! You have my attention...

Second: Kiera was a horrible, horrible person.
Sigh...great....

But instead of turning off the light and getting some sleep, like I should have done, tired as I was. I left it on and instead dropped my hand a few inches and grabbed Thoughtless. Next thing I knew it was hours later, I was 130 something pages in, and my alarm clock was screaming at me that it was time to wake up. How did that happen??  But I wasn't ready to face the day...at all. My heart was in turmoil. Kellan was already broken by this point, therefore so was my heart. Denny, sweet wonderful Denny, deserved everything good and wonderful this world could offer and instead, what he did have...just wasn't fair! He had 2 people who supposedly loved him, lying, sneaking and hiding the most horrid things from him and I was so angry! My heart ached for Denny. It still does. And then there was Kiera. Well she had no sympathy, no understanding and most certainly no respect from me. Really, just go back to my opening sentence. That's how I felt. I certainly wasn't ready to put the book down and face the world.

Even knowing what I was getting myself into beforehand, this has been a difficult read. Not the hardest by any means...but difficult. You can't honestly prepare for it. I feel like I need years of therapy and this is only book 1. And I don't know what sickens me more; Kiera and the way she selfishly screwed with these guys or the fact that I couldn't stop reading if I tried. I was consumed and lost sleep. Twice!  Every time I'd think things that happened couldn't get any worse, leave it to good old Kiera to say "Ha! Try this one out." Seriously! I use these Post-it strips as I'm reading to mark areas I want to remember come review time for various reasons and not long into the book it got to the point where I was slapping them onto the pages. Viciously!! And I went through TWO things of strips on this book alone!! That never happens.

Really Kiera doesn't start out that bad. So at first I was wondering what on earth everyone was going on about. Trust me that didn't last long. I don't think in reality or fiction I have ever come across someone so selfish and vile. I kept getting mad at myself every time I wanted her to fix things...it didn't matter which one I just wanted her to step up and stop the madness. I'm still not even sure how I feel about her after the end of this one. There's a semblance of peace at the end of the final chapter, but with two other books sitting on my shelf, equally as thick, I know the turmoil isn't over and frankly that scares the hell out of me.

I gaped at him, disbelieving. He thought he was being selfish? Here, I was the one literally shuffling between the beds of two men, and he was selfish?

I was almost as angry at Kellan through this whole book as I was with Kiera. It was really hard though to be truly angry with him. Kellan has had a shit, shit life. So in a way I get it. There's really no way to explain so that you'd understand without saying anything spoilery, even in the smallest way. You'd have to read and know him to understand. Here he was experiencing emotions he'd never felt before...ever, and it royally fucked up his judgement. He honestly tried to do the right thing on more then one occasion. Leave it to Kiera though to get in his head and throw all his good intentions out the window. He was wrong, yes. I'm not justifying him at all. I just get it and I care for him. I think he deserves something good in his life...even if it's with...Kiera.

"I want to be the kind of man you deserve to have."

Denny is like...the perfect guy you know? While I do love and adore Kellan in so many ways, most of the time I was thinking to myself 'How can you have someone like Denny and ruin it?'  He was so sweet and loving and did things for Kiera that most guys just would not do. He gave up so much and she treated him like crap. Every scene he was in my heart would snap and I'd cringe both from wanting him to find out and knowing how broken he'd be once he did. Sigh. He's why this book has been so hard to read. He's just that good of a person.

His voice was shaky, his accent thick with emotion, and I knew he was close to tears. He choked as he whispered, "Baby...you're my heart."

The only reason I finished this one and will read the other 2 is because...well okay there's 2 reasons first: I already bought all 3, physical copies even...sigh. And second: I really need to know that Kellan and Denny get some kind of closure and happiness. It's going to kill me I know it will because I can't honestly see how there's a single thing Kiera can do to change my mind about her. But I'm determined. I definitely need to take a break between though. I'm not sure I can jump back into this series quite yet.

Would I recommend this book? Yes and no. It's not going to be for everyone and it really fucks with your heart and your emotions. I still don't know how I made it through, my heart, somewhat, intact. Do I regret reading it? Believe it or not...no. Take what you will from that. I really thought I'd curse more...huh...

REVIEW: The Avery Shaw Experiment by Kelly Oram

Title/Series: The Avery Shaw Experiment
Author: Kelly Oram
Published: May 2nd 2013
Format: eBook | Pages: 278
Genre: YA, Contemporary, Romance
Source: Amazon
★★★★★ (5/5) Stars!!!!!!!!!

Kelly Oram | TwitterGoodreads

When Avery Shaw’s heart is shattered by her life-long best friend, she chooses to deal with it the only way she knows how—scientifically.

The state science fair is coming up and Avery decides to use her broken heart as the topic of her experiment. She’s going to find the cure. By forcing herself to experience the seven stages of grief through a series of social tests, she believes she will be able to get over Aiden Kennedy and make herself ready to love again. But she can’t do this experiment alone, and her partner (ex partner!) is the one who broke her heart.

Avery finds the solution to her troubles in the form of Aiden’s older brother Grayson. The gorgeous womanizer is about to be kicked off the school basketball team for failing physics. He’s in need of a good tutor and some serious extra credit. But when Avery recruits the lovable Grayson to be her “objective outside observer,” she gets a whole lot more than she bargained for, because Grayson has a theory of his own: Avery doesn't need to grieve. She needs to live. And if there’s one thing Grayson Kennedy is good at, it’s living life to the fullest.

I am hopelessly in love with this book and I'm not afraid to admit it. For the last couple of years, had you asked me "Hey Sheri, what's your favorite book?" You would have been given a very different answer. But since finishing The Avery Shaw Experiment both the book and Grayson Kennedy have completely stolen my heart. That's right there's a new #1 book boyfriend in my life as well.

I can't even really pinpoint what that one special thing is that sets this book miles apart from all the rest for me. I suppose it's all the numerous little things that, when thrown all together, left me feeling the warm and fuzzies in a big way.

Obviously, the most important aspect to any good book is it's characters. You can have the greatest story idea ever imagined, but without real, believable characters you have a bunch if words on a page that nobody wants to read. This book has believable and likable characters in spades. From Avery and Grayson (whom we get dual POVs of), to Libby and Owen and yes, even Aiden, I either love them or love to hate them.

Avery was such a great MC. She starts out so weak, and I don't mean weakly written by any means. Avery has severe anxiety and social issues. Truly, she'd been diagnosed with severe social anxiety and had medication for it. Big crowds, new people, being in the spotlight, things like this can literally send her into an anxiety/panic attack. She's very codependent, especially when it comes to Aiden Kennedy. She was like this little wounded lamb that grabs ahold of your heart and makes you want to climb into the book and protect her. The growth of beginning of the book Avery Shaw to end of the book Avery Shaw couldn't have been written more perfectly. And I feel like it was very realistic. I mean I have no experience with her degree of anxiety, but I never ever felt like 'there is no way this girl would've been able to deal with that.'

I laughed. Some stories about me were exaggerated. That one wasn't.

Grayson Kennedy. Sigh. I have this huge goofy grin as I type that name. Quite possibly the most delicious and well rounded love interest ever to grace the pages of a book. He's like... the wanna-be-bad-boy. Grayson's biggest fault is that he's never been the type of guy to be with the same girl for more than a week. But even with that against him, he never did it in the douchey way most guys in books do. For him it really comes off as no girl has ever made him want more than that before, not that he'd sworn off love for life or anything.

She said she'd never felt anything like that, but what she doesn't know is that I hadn't either. Even with the countless girls I'd danced with, or done a whole lot more with, never in my whole life had I felt a connection like I did with Avery that night.

He was just the right guy to break down Avery's walls and help her to stretch the lines of her comfort zone and build her self confidence. You know how in books you think you have this amazing guy but you know that at some point he's going to do something extremely douchey and break both the girls heart and trust and even yours? Yeah, Grayson isn't that guy. He leaves the heart breaking to the other Kennedy. He's loyal, he fights hard for Avery even at the point when most guys would have called it quits and written her off. He keeps trying until he has no fight left. Okay, okay I'm done. He's just perfect.

Damn Aiden to the very deepest depths of hell.

Aiden Kennedy...is a complete tool. Seriously, I despise him to a point where nothing he's said or done could ever make him or any of the damage he's done right in my eyes. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. I mean we all have characters that we love to hate am I right? Aiden is pretty high up there on my list. Mostly because he was so real. His actions were real. Things he said and did, it was all just so realistic. It made me almost wish he was real because I would love nothing more than to walk up and punch him in the junk for every girl who ever had her heart stomped by someone like him.

"So, beefcakes," Libby said, startling me from my Avery staring. "How's about you pick up your ball, and let's get this party started. I happen to be a visual learner, so I am quite excited to have some eye candy to enhance my learning experience for a change."

But it wasn't just Avery, Grayson and Aiden, every single character in the book was so full of life and quirks. There's Libby with her complete embrace of her dorkitude (my new word) and the way she says whatever's on her mind, no matter who it's to, with a total lack of shame. Then there's Owen who, when mixed in scenes with Libby and her boldness made some hilarious moments of comic relief. And I loved how easily Pam and Chloe opened up and embraced Avery and the way the two social worlds collide and mesh so well together.

"Definitely a cat in a past life," Owen muttered next to me. "But, like, a big scary one that ate people."

Which is one of the other little things that really had me with this book. We have two vastly different social circles. Avery, Aiden and Libby are on the nerdy, smart side. Members of the science club, entering the science fair, getting passes to the museum is their idea of a great birthday gift. Then you have the opposite side the popular, elite group Owen, Pam, Chloe and Grayson as the reigning king.  I loved that Grayson's friends weren't like dragging him aside when he brought Avery into their little click and been like "Dude, what the hell are you doing?!" I mean sure there were awkward moments and moments of total shock but Grayson's genuine charm extinguished that with ease.

This was my first book by Kelly Oram and wow am I won over. As soon as I finish typing this I'll definitely be getting my hands on others. So if you're like me, and haven't ever read one of her books yet either, then may I highly, highly suggest The Avery Shaw Experiment as your first? Try it out for the great story line and get swept away by the beautifully written characters. I don't think you'll regret it.

That's What HE Said Thursday #06

Every Thursday, the girls over at Chapter Break are hosting a fun new meme! To learn more about "That's What HE Said Thursday" click here.

My Quote:

"And that's why I did what I did." He ran his thumb over her cheek. "You weren't willing to accept it or even hear it from me, but somehow I had to make you understand how special and amazing and sexy you are. To give you back the confidence he'd taken from you so you could see what was right in front of you. The man who loves you."

- Trick Mathews to Grace Love
by Christine Bell

Trick said a lot of other sweet stuff leading up to this point moments before but this was the one that made me sigh and like him just that much more.

Swoon Thursday #21

Swoon Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by YABound!

Here's what you do:
From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

This week's pick is from:

Dirty Trick (Perfect Match #1)
by Christine Bell

"I feel like we got off on a great foot, so what say we play a little game?"

"What kind of game?"

"Meet me at the movie theater on Seventh and Broad at nine o'clock tomorrow night. Find the oldest movie playing and buy a ticket. Sit in the back row and wait for me. I'll be there shortly after it starts. And Grace?"

She swallowed hard and croaked, "Yes?"

"Wear a skirt."

He disconnected, and she was left staring at the phone, dumbfounded.

See the thing that sucks is, if you haven't read this yet, you can't really appreciate the smexiness of this scene and what it's leading up to. You need to read this book just for the movie theater scene alone. You'll thank me later.

Waiting on Wednesday #21

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking The Spine where we share with everyone upcoming new releases that we're eager to get our hands on! :)

 photo Desired_zps90272f67.jpgDesired (Club Sin #3)
by Stacey Kennedy
Expected Publication: July 22nd 2014

Readers of Fifty Shades of Grey are sure to love Desired, USA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy’s latest seductive, electrifying novel of Club Sin, where fantasy becomes reality.

Kyler Morgan, Master at the legendary Club Sin in Las Vegas, knows how to give women what they want—too well. He hasn't had a real challenge in a long time. Then Ella Snow enters his life. Beautiful, inhibited, and innocent in the ways of submission and domination, Ella is the new blood he’s been lusting after. Soon, the thrill of training her to embrace his world brings forth desires Kyler cannot control.

After ending an abusive relationship, Ella makes a promise to herself to start living life to the fullest. It’s one of the reasons she seeks out Club Sin. Here, Kyler’s every touch is a lesson in liberation, stirring passions that have no bounds. But as she falls under Kyler’s command, Ella discovers that some secrets are so dark they must come to light. Submission alone may not be enough to save her, leaving her Master with only one question: How can he help Ella heal while unlocking the deep pleasures she craves?

Desired is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

Includes a special message from the editor, as well as excerpts from other Loveswept titles.

You. Have. No. Freaking. Idea. How. Bad. I. Want. This. Book. Ahhh! I have never read FSoG and I've never really wanted to either. I still don't. But there was something about the Club Sin series that intrigued me and once I started it...I was instantly hooked. This one is all about Master Kyler and I have been dying to get to his story since I finished Claimed. There's something about that guy. He's full of mischief and he's funny. He's protective and I love how well he reads people and a lot of the time he knows what they want before they can admit it themselves. Plus he's a freaking cop! Sigh. Hotty cop. Yum. He's going to be such a great MC to read.

Don't take it lightly when it says it's intended for mature audiences because these books are quite explicit. So if you don't think you can handle it then I'd skip over this series. But if FSoG doesn't make you want to hide and cringe (though like I said I can't personally speak from experience :/) then give it a shot!

So yeah, mine was pretty out there for most people sorry! But I'd like to know what YOU are waiting on this week? Link your post or leave a comment down below :)

Top Ten Tuesday #22

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!

This weeks topic is...

Top Ten Books on My Summer TBR List

Having been out of the loop for too many months to count, I really don't have any clue about all the new stuff coming out. I know of a couple that I'll be adding to this list. For the most part, though, I've been spending a lot of my reading time trying to put a dent in some of the stuff that's been on my TBR for far too long. Trust me some of these you're going to be like..."What. The. Hell...You still haven't read those?!?!" I have my reasons!! :P So without further ado...
(Click the covers to take you to their Goodreads pages!)

1. Wings (Black City #3)
by Elizabeth Richards

This is going to be very bittersweet. I'm so excited for this final book in the series, yet I'm sad to see it go. It's definitely one I will be dropping everything for once it's in my hands!

Can't believe I haven't read this one yet! I miss Julian...sigh....

3. Origin (Lux #4) & Opposition (Lux #5)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Okay, first of all...DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT!! Those of you who know the series, you KNOW how Opal left us. The torture of waiting to find out what happens next, made me decide to in turn wait for Opposition to come out in August and that way it'll be done. Sadly. So this will be more of a end of the summer read. And I just want to add...I haaate the new covers :/  Is there any benefit from buying Beginnings and Consequence or whatever the combo books are called? Like any extras? I'm too lazy/tired to check right this second and I'll forget that question once I'm done I'm sure haha :)

4. Bared (Club Sin #2) & Desired (Club Sin #3)
by Stacey Kennedy

So these books are set in the BDSM world, which isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea. Hell I never thought it would be mine..But I just feel like Stacey Kennedy does it in a very uncringe-worthy way. I had picked up Claimed from NetGalley last year and holy crap was I hooked! We got to see little bits of both Aidan (Bared) and Kyler (Desired) in Dmitri's book (Claimed). And while I am excited for both, I will admit that I'm looking forward to Kyler's just a liiiiitle bit more. There was just something about him!

5. Imperfectly Real (A Series of Imperfections #2)
by A.E. Woodward

Love, love, loved Imperfectly Perfect and this crazy set of roommates! It was such a fun dynamic and left me really wanting Tyler and Rob's stories!!

6. Mine (Real #2), Remy (Real #3) & Rogue (Real #4)
by Katy Evans

I honestly have no excuse for this set...well except for Rogue since it's not out yet. But the other two?? These are the only ones in my list, already published, that I don't even have in my Kindle yet...It's like I'm betraying Remy!!  :(

7. V is for Virgin  (V is for Virgin #1)
by Kelly Oram

 photo VisForVirgin_zps444dc9cb.jpg

A couple months back I fell in love with another of Kelly Oram's books, The Avery Shaw Experiment (review coming in just a few days!) I am very much looking forward to reading more of her books and this one just sounded way too interesting to pass up!

8. Archer's Voice
by Mia Sheridan

So this one is sort of a cheat. I started it a few months back and I'm at about 63% I think. But I had to stop because I was freaking out. I'm getting anxiety just thinking about it as I type this! Sigh. The depths to which I adore Archer cannot be measured. And he has just had too much happen to him and I know that there's going to be more. It quite literally breaks my heart and I don't know if I can bear it. I'm determined though because if anybody deserves a HEA it's Archer Hale. Oh hell I'm going to pick up where I left off after I wake up in the morning. Wish me luck...

9. Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths #1)
& One Tiny Lie (Ten Tiny Breaths #2)
by K.A. Tucker

 photo OneTinyLie_zps2661aef1.jpg

No excuse for not getting to these yet really. They just keep getting pushed back for something else I want to read whenever I'm looking. I plan to get to them over the summer though!

10. Deity (Covenant #3), Apollyon (Covenant #4)
& Sentinel (Covenant #5)
by Jennifer L. Armentout

Much to the dismay of Wendy, I still haven't finished this series. At first it was just the fact that I was waiting for Sentinel to come out. Well it's out and sitting on my shelf...I guess it's time to get my ass in gear!

So there you have it! I really am excited for all of these and from today until they're done I plan on reading nothing but these (once they're all published.) What do you plan on reading this summer? Leave a link in the comments :)
