Weekly Haul #48

Stacking the shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's basically a way in which we get to show off the lovely new goodies we got over the past week/month however you decide to do it.

I was sitting here over last weekend and the first part of this past week thinking to myself, "Wow! You've done such a good job. You haven't bought a single book or gotten a review copy for that matter. You won't even need to put together a weekly haul..." and then Tuesday hit and a book I had pre-ordered popped up in my Kindle. Thankfully it only went a little bit downhill from there. Two books. ONLY TWO BOOKS! *Pats self on back*

Yeah so all that above? That was all typed up on Friday afternoon and then Saturday rolls around...Yeah, well, you'll see.

Bought:

A Darker Shade of Magic (A Darker Shade of Magic #1) by V.E. Schwab
I am so ready for this to destroy my feels

The Deal (Off-Campus #1) by Elle Kennedy
I've seen quite a few people giving this one high praise (Jess in particular) so I absolutely had to get it.

Fighting Silence (On the Ropes #1) by Aly Martinez
I was so good until Saturday and I saw this book on another blog so I decided to pull it up and read the blurb. Guys...I almost start crying just reading the blurb. I have to read this book.

Freebie:

Make it a Double (Last Call #2) by Sawyer Bennett
This one was a freebie so it really shouldn't count towards my inability to say no. I'm just sayin...Oh yeah I blame Jess on this one too. She says, "Hey everyone I loved this book." and my brain says, "BUY IT! BUY IT NOW!"

That's it for me for this week. What have you added to your shelves?

  1. Great haul! A Darker Shade of Magic sounds so amazing. I love parallel universe books and I love how this one has magic. :)

  2. Bahaha! I love being blamed for book pushing! WOOOOO! I LOVED Make it a Double. Brody is just... sigh. Yeah. And The Deal. Definitely one of my favorites this year! I've heard such good things about A Darker Shade of Magic... I may need to get my hands on that one!
