Weekly Haul #51

Stacking the shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's basically a way in which we get to show off the lovely new goodies we got over the past week/month however you decide to do it.

Right. So. Remember when I said I went crazy pants at BookOutlet? Well as you can see from the size of that box I truly wasn't exaggerating. This has been a long time coming though. I'm surprised I sat on that gift card as long as I did. Do I have any regrets? Nah. Not really. Except maybe the fact that now I have to move a bunch of stuff over on my bookshelves to make room for the... *seventeen*... books in that box. Sigh. Pathetic, Sheri. Just pathetic. Let's see what's in the box though shall we? Along with my other purchases this week. Don't start with me folks. I know okay? I know.

BookOutlet Haul!

Half Bad (Half Bad #1) by Sally Green
Twisted (Tangled #2) by Emma Chase
Tamed (Tangled #3) by Emma Chase
Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill
Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay
Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson

*Just to note that if you pull this one up on Goodreads it's listed there as Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor. It's the same thing. See come October/November time of year when they start showing Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel... I kind of become a junkie and there is one move that I have to and will watch every year each time it's on no matter how many times it's on leading up to Christmas. Christmas With Holly. I adore it to pieces plus if I were to walk down the street I could hop on the ferry to Friday Harbor! Anyway I saw Christmas With Holly on BookOutlet and it was what started this whole haul to begin with. I can't wait to read it! I've read a bunch of historical romances by Lisa Kleypas and I can't wait to see what her contemporaries are like. I just hope I don't dislike it due to my deep, deep love for the movie version. My first loyalty always seems to be whichever I get to first, book or movie.

Do you guys have a book pusher in your life? Or are you the book pusher? I heart mine to pieces and I never doubt her judgement. Last Sunday night Jessica (Lovin' los libros) excitedly dropped the hint that this series that she loved was on sale for .99 cents per book and the first one was free! How can you pass up a deal like that? The first one is no longer free but those other 3, last I looked, were still .99 cents!

Leaving Amarillo (Neon Dreams #1) by Caisey Quinn
I would have eventually bought this one anyway but due to the beautiful rave review of Jess (see above book pushing culprit) I went ahead and snagged it now. Love Caisey Quinn and can't wait for her to do a number on my feels!

Ready Player One (Ready Player One #1) by Ernest Cline

Say My Name (Stark International Trilogy #1) by J. Kenner
Embarrassingly, I don't remember requesting this. I mean I've been wanting to read it don't get me wrong so I'm pretty excited... But I got an email with a NG widget so I'm guessing I got an email earlier saying that it was available and I put in a request? *Shrugs* I don't know and I'm not complaining. So thanks... Random House I'm guessing? Haha I need to keep a closer eye on what I do.

Good lord this is such a big post. And my post next week will be pretty close to being as big because this happened on Wednesday:

Yep my mom brought me coffee and an Amazon GC. She can be so awesome at times! It was a pretty big card because it was half for me and half for the teenager but then he gave me half of his so he could use my debit card. I kind of love him even more for that. So needless to say... next week is going to be a huge post as well. Does any of that really count towards having no self control when it's on a damn gift card and I'm not using my own money? I'm going with no. It makes me feel better haha!

So what have you added to your shelves this week? :)

  1. Nothing like a huge big box of books to make your week great! Especially when it's exploding with fantastic books like yours was Sheri :) I adore Easy, it was the first NA I read and I still think it's one of my favs. And Ready, Player One is fantastic too. Ohh I need the new Caisey Quinn book too. Have a great week and enjoy your shelf rearranging!
