A sexy category romance from Entangled’s Brazen imprint…

He’ll show this good girl the thrill of being bad…

Good girl Melody Merritt is ready to be bad. Fresh out of an unsatisfying ten-year engagement to the town golden boy, she’s determined to make up for lost time. And who better to burn her sterling reputation to the ground than Bluelick’s sinfully sexy new fire chief whose wicked gaze promises complete and utter domination? Yes, please.

Corrupting the prim and proper Little Miss Bluelick is the most action Josh Bradley’s seen since he transferred from Cincinnati to fast-track his career. He won’t let anything or anyone—not even the delectable Melody Merritt—trap him in this Kentucky-fried Mayberry, but when their searing chemistry yields an unexpected result, he realizes he’s started a blaze that's completely beyond his control…

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. In no way did this sway either my review or my rating!

When I read the blurb to this book my first thought was...

A fireman who likes to get down and dirty? Sign. Me. Up!

I mean, let's face the facts, nearly every red-blooded woman who's ever had any sort of fantasy has had one about a sexy fireman throwing her over his shoulder and carrying her off to show her how well he uses his... Well, you get my point right?

This book definitely lit my fire. There was a hint of romance here and there but for the most part it was an all out 5 alarm fire roaring off these pages. Oh yeah it was off the charts steamy.

Two percent in I was laughing my ass off and I knew I was going to love this book. Sure it's full of heat and sexual tension but there's also a lot of humor and sweetness infused into it as well. When going over my notes I quickly jotted down as I read some of the very brief one and two word notes had me cracking up all over again. Death Wish. Mercenary Barbie. Spins. Crying. Bribes worked. Josh-go-round. And those were all from one hilarious scene. Trust me, you don't want to just take my word for it! But you have to expect some humor when you place a sexy big city fireman in Smalltown USA as the new fire chief. Rushing out sirens blazing to a call about someone's baby being stuck up in a tree to arrive to find...a cat. Yes. There was plenty of laughter mixed in.

The full range of characters was such a treat. Not only did you have the sweet yet secretly bad girl southern belle and the sexy, confident and dirty talking fireman (seriously can I say fireman enough in this post?) but there are so many other likable characters to fill up this book...along with some that aren't so nice. There's a mayor who seems all sorts of corrupt and dirty, his privileged 'you can't touch me because of who my dad is' son and a mysterious figure with an arsonist streak setting fires throughout the small town. Could it be the mayor? His punk son? Or maybe one of the many other characters in town with a grudge? Hmm...

I really enjoyed this book. The characters stole my heart. Bluelick, the setting, with it's small southern feel that reminded me a lot of Bluebell from one of my favorite shows Hart of Dixie except with a bit more corruption! Sure there were a few cheesy eye roll moments, like when Josh asks Melody if she was doing okay after a pretty passionate encounter and she says something about how she was pretty sure she had just had an out-of-body experience and his reply was that he'd just had an "in-your-body" one. Yes. Groan. Eye roll. By that point it didn't matter I was already so far gone into loving this book that he could have made comments like that for the rest of the book and they'd have just gone right over my head. I can't wait until I have a break in the review books so I can read the first book in this series which is patiently waiting on my Kindle as we speak. Steamy, funny and heartwarming. I highly recommend this one!

Thanks again Entangled Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!
