Top Ten Books On My Fall To-Be-Read List
Out of curiosity I went back to check the TTT post I did for my summer TBR list to see how much of that I actually got accomplished...Yeah, I didn't do so good. 3, 4 and 8 have all been read. I'm still going to be all about trying to get through stuff I've owned for way too long and haven't read yet. I really want to focus on all the many wonderful series starts that for one reason or another I hadn't kept going through and have only read one maybe two books in. Most of them will probably have to be started over from the beginning so I'm just going to group the books together by series.
1. Being #1 on my list of all time favorite authors, it's really shameful the number of Jennifer L Armentrout's books I haven't read yet. Something I will be rectifying immediately. I've only put a small dent in the Covenant series, only halfway through Deity, so I plan on starting at the beginning, novellas and all and blaze through those:
2. You would think that when a favorite character in a series is one of the star attractions in a spin-off series I'd have been right on top of that. And I have...when it comes to buying them. Reading?...not so much. Even though the last book isn't out yet I need to quit procrastinating and read the Bloodlines series. Need an Adrian fix bad:
10. The final series I actually only within the last few months bought the first book in the series, but I've been interested in it for quite a long time. So I'll give the first one a try and then see how it goes from there if I keep going or not.

3. In the Crossfire series I've already read Bared to You the first book and while I was crazy about the book and Gideon Cross I never quite made it to the next 2 books and they sat on my desk for a very long time. I wound up drowning in review books and blog tours and never carved out any "me" time for books. Well now it's all about me and what I want to read. And I want more Gideon dammit!
4. I've had the first book in the Maze Runner series sitting on my shelf for quite some time but never end up picking it up when I go to start something new. With all the trailers splashed all over the TV all the time for the upcoming movie my motivation to start and finish this series has skyrocketed. I really want to have them read before I watch the movie so this will be a big priority to read it and buy the other 2 books:
5. I got about halfway through Delirium and stopped, not because I didn't like it but at the time something had either released or went on sale that made me want to drop everything and read it. I really liked what I read so far so I'm eager to dig in and finish out the series:
(I realize there's one more novella, Annabel, before Delirium but I read it pretty recently and it's pretty short and still in my head so I'm going to skip it and pick up where I left off)
6. After I finished the Fallen series by Lauren Kate back before I ever started blogging I became obsessed with angels. I read Hush, Hush soon after and even though it has a lot of very mixed reviews I really enjoyed it. Not as much as Fallen by any means or even Unearthly to be honest, but I did like what I read from the first book. It was a lot darker. I had bought physical copies of the entire series but for whatever reason they never got read. It's time.
7. The Mortal Instruments; excellent first book, terrible first movie. I really want to continue the rest of the books in this series. I have everything except the final book and then eventually I need to start on The Infernal Devices. Probably won't get to that series before winter hits though, so maybe I'll save it for my winter list!
City of Bones | City of Ashes | City of Glass | City of Fallen Angels | City of Lost Souls | City of Heavenly Fire
8. As with above Beautiful Creatures; excellent first book, terrible first movie. I think I was a lot more disappointed in the movie for this one though. All that aside I'm tired of seeing them sitting on my bookshelf and wondering why I haven't started them yet.
9. Another series I started 2 years ago, before I started blogging, was the Iron Fey series. Loved it. I was fascinated by it. I own and read the first 2 books but now I really want to get the rest and close it out, and the spin-off series as well, but for now at least the original series. #TeamAsh
10. The final series I actually only within the last few months bought the first book in the series, but I've been interested in it for quite a long time. So I'll give the first one a try and then see how it goes from there if I keep going or not.

48 books is a lot. A LOT. Even with 7 of them being novellas 41 is still a fairly high number. I know I won't get through all of them by winter but I feel like I can put a major dent in this batch of books. I'm extremely excited to both get back into some of these series and find a few new favorites.
What books are on your fall TBR pile? Leave the links to your posts! :)
That is one crazy pile of books! But I love that you want to go back and finish some series up! I love the Iron Fey, Under the Never Sky, Maze Runner, and Crossfire series! Those are some great books! I wasn't crazy about Hush, Hush, or Delirium though. I also need to continue the Bloodlines and get started on JLA's Covenant books! All the bookssssssssssssss.
ReplyDeleteThat is one awesome fall list! You can do it! I have a friend who absolutely loves the Bloodlines series, I really should give that one a try. YES to Under the Never Sky! I recently finished and reviewed that one. Loved it! I really hope you do as well. Happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list!! I can't wait for you to read the Covenant series!! You will love it! I haven't read Maze Runner yet but saw the movie and really liked it so I put that book on my list.
ReplyDeleteI think I've been dragging my feet with Covenant because I'm like halfway through and Deity and I'm big time #TeamSeth so...yanno haha. But I WILL finish. And that's good to hear I really want to watch the movie too. Thanks Chelsea!!
ReplyDeleteHa I'm going to try at least! I know I'll love Bloodlines because I loved Vampire Academy and I was sort of....well okay A LOT fascinated with Adrian so I don't know why I haven't started them yet! Okay YES YES I'm thinking I wanted to start Under the Never Sky first. Thanks Jennifer!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I got it in the mail a couple weeks back (Silver Shadows) and the books are just sitting there calling to me Thanks for stopping by Nicole :)!!
ReplyDeleteYeahhh it's extremely crazy. But I'm not expecting to finish I just really wanna put a dent in these. Yeah I'm one of the few people that I know personally who actually really enjoyed Hush, Hush so I really want to finish it but I know I'm in a minority. I also liked the first like...3/4 of what I read so far of Delirium. That all could change though and then I'll be pissed I bought them all haha *shrugs* We'll see. We need to find Hermione and steal that chicks time turner. Yanno so we can deal with ALL THE BOOKSSSSSSS xD
ReplyDeleteYeah I remember reading the first book in The Iron Fey really fast. Really easy and fun reads so I'm looking forward to finishing. I hear a lot of that about the other 2 you mentioned. Ah well. Thanks for stopping by Mel :)!!
