Waiting on Wednesday #37

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking The Spine where we share with everyone upcoming new releases that we're eager to get our hands on! :)

So...yeah. I haven't done one of these posts in so long I've almost forgotten how they work! For real though it's probably been close to 6 months. I either always had ARCs of what I was really wanting so I wasn't really waiting...or nothing inspired me to the point of throwing up one of these posts.

But.

When the lovely Jessica from Lovin' los libros sent me this the other day:

I was ready to tackle hug her just for being the messenger! I didn't think this book was ever going to be a thing, even though it's not what I had originally wanted it to be in the first place, so I am over the moon right now.

What I'm waiting for is:

The Libby Garrett Intervention (Science Squad #2)
by Kelly Oram
Expected Publication: October 24th 2015

Libby Garrett is addicted to Owen Jackson's hot lovin'. But the sexy, popular college basketball player doesn't appreciate all of Libby's awesomeness. He refuses to be exclusive or even admit to people that they're dating. The relationship is ruining Libby and she's the only one who can't see it.

When Libby's behavior spirals completely out of control, her best friend Avery Shaw and the rest of the Science Squad stage an intervention hoping to cure Libby of her harmful Owen addiction. They put her through her very own Twelve Step program—Owen's Anonymous—and recruit the help of a sexy, broody, hard as nails coffee man to be her official sponsor.

...

Adam Koepp has watched Libby Garrett for years. How could he not notice the sassy girl with the purple skateboard and helmet plastered with cat stickers? But in all the years he's crushed on her, Libby has failed to take notice of him. Why would she when he was just a nobody high school drop out who served her apple cider several times a week? Especially when she was hooking up with a guy like Owen Jackson—a guy with a college scholarship and more abs than Kyle Hamilton.

Adam finally gets the chance to meet Libby when his co-worker Avery Shaw recruits him to take Libby on the journey of a lifetime. With his ability to play Bad Cop and his experience with the Twelve Step program he's the perfect candidate to be Libby's sponsor. But will he be able to keep his personal feelings out of the matter and really help her the way she needs? And will Libby hate him when he forces her to take an honest look at herself?

This follow-up companion novel to The Avery Shaw Experiment can be read as a stand alone. (But where's the fun in that?) ;)

Add to Goodreads & Pre-Order today!

What I had really wanted was for Owen to man up after finishing Avery Shaw and have an Owen & Libby book but honestly...it was all about Libby for me that girl rocks so hard! So I can totally ship Adam and Libby.

And if you haven't read the first book in the series yet you are completely missing out!!! I'm so not joking! Go to Amazon or B&N or somewhere and BUY. THAT. BOOK! (I'm such a good little book pusher I even helpfully linked them for you *huge grin*

So what are YOU waiting for this week?

Come on book push me...

I dare you!

A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses #1)
by Sarah J. Maas
Expected Publication: May 5th 2015

A thrilling, seductive new series from New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas, blending Beauty and the Beast with faerie lore.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

Perfect for fans of Kristin Cashore and George R. R. Martin, this first book in a sexy and action-packed new series is impossible to put down!

Beauty and the Beast was enough to have me but to have it mixed in with the Fae?

Waiting on Wednesday #35

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking The Spine where we share with everyone upcoming new releases that we're eager to get our hands on! :)

I have become so obsessed with this series that it's kinda scary. I have no freaking clue when these books come out the only thing it says is 2014. J.C. Emery's Twitter profile says Fall 2014 and I need them like yesterday. I skimmed the blurbs just enough to catch names to see who they're going to be about and I'm excited for both. But I didn't look long enough to find out the girl for the last book so I can be surprised for Ian. I NEED THEM NOW! Ahhh! Sigh. *Shakes in the corner from withdrawals*

Crush (Bayonet Scars #4)
by J.C. Emery
Expected Publication: ?? 2014
by Left Break Press

Young love is always perfect. Until it's not.

Cheyenne Grady is a total daddy's girl to her bad-ass father, the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club. She's funny, and kind, and she just wants that deep, earth-shattering love like her dad has with her school secretary, Holly. But Cheyenne's been looking in the wrong direction, because the only good that can come from the way she looks at Jeremy Whelan is a lesson in heartbreak.

Jeremy always wanted to prospect for the Forsaken Motorcycle Club and wear the same patch as his father. When a life-long dream becomes reality, Jeremy realizes that the outlaw lifestyle is not for the faint of heart. Nor is it easy on relationships. He wants to be a good man, but temptation is everywhere.

Cheyenne is beautiful, and strong, and exactly what Jeremy could have forever. As long as he doesn't screw it up.

Love is never more powerful than the first time.

Burn (Bayonet Scars #5)
by J.C. Emery
Expected Publication: ?? 2014
by Left Break Press

Tragedy cuts deep. Revenge burns deeper.

The blood of enemies coats the leather of their vests and a trail of bodies lie in their wake, but the Forsaken Motorcycle Club isn't done yet. Carlo Mancuso still needs to pay for his sins. Nobody knows that more than Ian Buckley, the Treasurer for Forsaken.

Ian prefers his pleasure mixed with pain and he's only ever at peace when he's doling out justice. Convinced that he's too unstable and sadistic to take an Old Lady, he keeps his trysts, like all of his relationships, brief and anonymous. But with his club at war, and the stakes being so personal, Ian's feeling the events around him more deeply than he expects.

Mindy Mercer is the sweet daughter of Fort Bragg’s most respectable cop. At least that’s how the town sees her. Very few people know the Mindy who hides her tracks and battles her cravings by lying to everyone around her. She thinks she has control of her addiction until she suffers an attack that leaves her searching for a way out of her own personal hell.

Mindy has never been more desperately in need of a savior and Ian has never seen a more beautifully destroyed creature in his life. Their attraction is intense, but their damage is extreme. Some scars never heal, and some people never get better.
Love is never more painful than when it can kill you.

RedQueen-M photo RedQueenM_zps31e8152b.jpg

Red Queen
by Victoria Aveyard
Expected Publication: February 10th 2015

Mare Barrow's world is divided by blood—those with red and those with silver. Mare and her family are lowly Reds, destined to serve the Silver elite whose supernatural abilities make them nearly gods. Mare steals what she can to help her family survive, but when her best friend is conscripted into the army she gambles everything to win his freedom. A twist of fate leads her to the royal palace itself, where, in front of the king and all his nobles, she discovers a power of her own—an ability she didn't know she had. Except . . . her blood is Red.

To hide this impossibility, the king forces her into the role of a lost Silver princess and betroths her to one of his own sons. As Mare is drawn further into the Silver world, she risks her new position to aid the Scarlet Guard—the leaders of a Red rebellion. Her actions put into motion a deadly and violent dance, pitting prince against prince—and Mare against her own heart.

From debut author Victoria Aveyard comes a lush, vivid fantasy series where loyalty and desire can tear you apart and the only certainty is betrayal.

So. Frickin. Excited! YA...High Fantasy...Distopia...Can it get any better? The further into the blurb I read the more excited I got. But 2015 feels SO FAR AWAY ahhh. I must have this book. I MUST!!

Freed-M photo FreedM_zpsd81274a1.jpg

Freed (Club Sin #4)
by Stacey Kennedy
Expected Publication: November 4th 2014

Perfect for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, the Club Sin series continues with Freed, a wicked, wild novel from USA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy.

Mary Schmidt knows only too well how thrilling a Master’s touch can be. Her husband, Charles, had been her ultimate fantasy, a seducer in the erotic dance of dominance and submission. She misses the sensual lifestyle they shared, but mourns him so deeply she cannot bear to embrace her submissive needs with another Dom—until a man who exudes temptation reawakens desires she can no longer deny.

Elliott Foster is dazzled by Mary. He instantly knows that she’s the woman he’s been waiting for—a woman who turns games into need. As her Master, he dares to unlock the deepest pleasures of her flesh, releasing her from pain and healing her mind. When Mary’s lithe body comes to life under his, he knows their connection goes beyond sex. Now that he has found the perfect woman, the perfect partner, the perfect submissive, he desires only to give her everything she craves.

Freed is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

I am excited for this seeing as how it's a Club Sin novel but this is the first time that I'm really unsure what to expect. I don't know Elliot Foster yet so I'm not sure how he fits in to all this because, and I'd have to skim through the other 3 to be 100% positive, but he's never been mentioned at the club before? If he has well oops I guess I've just been too fascinated with the other guys up to now to remember him. And as for Mary it took a few seconds for it to click but even so the most I remember her from is quite briefly in book 1. So this is going to be interesting.

No Place to Fall
by Jaye Robin Brown
Expected Publication: December 9th 2014

Amber Vaughn is a good girl. She sings solos at church, babysits her nephew after school, and spends every Friday night hanging out at her best friend Devon’s house. It’s only when Amber goes exploring in the woods near her home, singing camp songs with the hikers she meets on the Appalachian Trail, that she feels free—and when the bigger world feels just a little bit more in reach.

When Amber learns about an audition at the North Carolina School of the Arts, she decides that her dream—to sing on bigger stages—could also be her ticket to a new life. Devon’s older (and unavailable) brother, Will, helps Amber prepare for her one chance to try out for the hypercompetitive arts school. But the more time Will and Amber spend together, the more complicated their relationship becomes . . . and Amber starts to wonder if she’s such a good girl, after all.

Then, in an afternoon, the bottom drops out of her family’s world—and Amber is faced with an impossible choice between her promise as an artist and the people she loves. Amber always thought she knew what a good girl would do. But between “right” and “wrong,” there’s a whole world of possibilities.

I have a feeling that this book is going to smack me around in the feels department. Hopefully in all the best ways.

EmpireOfShadows-M photo EmpireOfShadowsM_zpsaa914b89.jpg
Empire of Shadows (Bhinian Empire #2)
by Miriam Forster
Expected Publication: November 4th 2014

Cast out of her family three years ago, Mara turned to the only place that would take her—a school where students train to protect others. But Mara is stunned when guarding a noble girl in the Empire’s capital turns out to be more dangerous than she could’ve imagined. More shocking still, she finds the boy she thought she had lost forever outside the gates of her new home.

Mara knew her life in the dizzying Imperial city would hold dangers. How could she have known that her heart, as well as her life, would be at stake?

Empire of Shadows will take readers on a spellbinding journey into the world Miriam Forster first introduced in City of a Thousand Dolls—a world with a divided society, deadly courtiers, heroic traitors, and deeply laid conspiracies.

Now I haven't read the first book in this series yet, but it's my understanding that it's a whole new set of characters. Same world just different people. I still plan on reading City of a Thousand Dolls before I do this one though because both of them sound interesting. And once again...I'm in love with this cover!

A Thousand Pieces of You (Firebird #1)
by Claudia Gray
Expected Publication: November 4th 2014

Every Day meets Cloud Atlas in this heart-racing, space- and time-bending, epic new trilogy from New York Times bestselling author Claudia Gray.

Marguerite Caine’s physicist parents are known for their radical scientific achievements. Their most astonishing invention: the Firebird, which allows users to jump into parallel universes, some vastly altered from our own. But when Marguerite’s father is murdered, the killer—her parent’s handsome and enigmatic assistant Paul—escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him.

Marguerite can’t let the man who destroyed her family go free, and she races after Paul through different universes, where their lives entangle in increasingly familiar ways. With each encounter she begins to question Paul’s guilt—and her own heart. Soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is more sinister than she ever could have imagined.

A Thousand Pieces of You explores a reality where we witness the countless other lives we might lead in an amazingly intricate multiverse, and ask whether, amid infinite possibilities, one love can endure.

I think this one is going to be another drop everything once it's released and read it. I am so fascinated with the storyline and if it's done right then I have a feeling this will be a favorite. And another gorgeous cover this week!

So what are you waiting for this week? :)

I'm sitting here today (08/20) writing up 9 WoW posts in advance, this is #5, for all the lovely books that I discovered today either from publisher newsletters or the ARC party earlier. I think out of everything I've seen today this one is the one I'm most excited for and I am completely in love with that cover! I'm horrible and haven't read a Heather Lyons book as of yet even though I have the first 2 books in the Fate series just sitting there on Kindle. If I still haven't gotten to them by Oct 23rd this will for sure be my first book of hers I read because you can bet I will be dropping just about everything to start this one. Excited!!
