Top Ten Tuesday #26

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!

This weeks topic is...

Top Ten Books I'd Give To Readers Who Haven't Read Books By ____ :

I started scrolling through all my 5 star reviews in order to compile a list of books and it turned out to be such a varied list. So I decided to pick 10 different authors and the first books that I've read by them that initially got me hooked and wanting more (or in some cases have already devoured more)!

1. Obsidian (Lux #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I fell in love with JLA's writing and this was the book that started it all. Anything this woman writes I will pick up no questions asked.

2. Archer's Voice (A Sign of Love) by Mia Sheridan
I just finished this one last week sometime and it was so beautiful. I will definitely be reading more!

3. Making Faces by Amy Harmon
Another one that was so, so beautiful. Read with tissues!

4. Wallbanger (Cocktails #1) by Alice Clayton
Holy crap. I laughed. I swooned. This book is a slice of perfection

5. Claimed (Club Sin #1) by Stacey Kennedy
Though I will admit this isn't my favorite, book 3 in the series Desired (currently reading) is. BUT I fell in love with this series starting with Claimed and they're all good. I just have a huge bookish crush on the MC of Desired. Trust me if Master Kyler were a real person...he'd probably have me slapped with a restraining order... :P

6. The Avery Shaw Experiment by Kelly Oram
This book was unbelievably sweet and funny. I've been reading a lot of NA and Adult lately and this one made me fall in love with YA all over again.

7. No Attachments (Woodfalls Girls #1) by Tiffany King
I'd had a couple of other Tiffany King books on my Nook/Kindle for quite a while that I just hadn't ever gotten to yet. Then one day when I was messing around on Twitter, right about the time I opened it up I see her tweet one of her flash giveaways so I quickly replied thinking it was probably wasted because I never have luck. Well she replied right back and I got a copy of No Attachments. Read it right away because I was so freaking excited and I was enamored immediately. She's also good with the paranormal stuff but this is a good starting off point!

8. Hopeless (Hopeless #1) by Colleen Hoover
Oh. My. Goodness. If you've never read a Colleen Hoover book (and if not where on earth have you been?) then this one is a must read. Before you do I suggest you have a little survival kit ahead of time to get you through. Tissues, lots. Chocolate. And maybe some alcohol. ;)

9. Losing It (Losing It #1) by Cora Carmack
I would also say that if you've never read a NA novel before, or if you have and just had bad experiences with them, then this could very well be the book to turn you around.

10. Taste the Heat (Love and Games #1) by Rachel Harris
The first Rachel Harris book I ever read and I've read everything else she's published to date at this point. They get better and better with each new release. But this is the one that started it all for me.

*****

So that's it. Ten authors and the books that made me fall in love with them. There's so many more that I could have listed, wanted to list, etc but I made myself stick to 10 and these were the ones!
What sort of list did you come up with this week? :)

  2. Interesting. Wall Banger seems like the only one I'd be into, seems akin to the writing of Chelsea Handler. :)
Here's my list, if you wanna check it out. :) I'm experimenting with doing them on YouTube now, please like and comment if you can :) http://youtu.be/dapaLyFe-N0?list=UUP4Ao6fj3mLXHqOSSxyqh8w
